Lawrence Schools Annual Foundation Follies 2020 – Update as of 3/20/2020
As we are sure you’re aware, COVID-19 has had a major effect on public schools, businesses, and the daily life of people in our community. Because gatherings of over 50 are now prohibited in Douglas County for the next eight weeks, we have no choice but to cancel what would have been the 30th and final Foundation Follies on April 24, 2020.
We were so excited to produce this event one last time, but canceling is the right decision for the health of our performers and audience alike. We appreciate your participation and enthusiasm of the Foundation Follies and your support of the Lawrence Schools Foundation.
With schools being closed through the end of the academic year, we know that our students, district staff and teachers alike will need more support than ever.
Our staff and board of directors will continue to work closely with the district in its response to the COVID-19 pandemic and have offered to help as we are able.
We will continue to honor and award our annual grants, staff awards and student scholarships throughout the remainder of the year, and are working closely with the school leaders, generous donors and community LEAP partners to establish next steps. So please continue to submit your grant applications and award nominations!
We appreciate your support of Lawrence Schools Foundation, especially in this trying time.
