2008 Educator of the Year Award
The Foundation annually announces it's Educator of the Year Award during the Follies fund-raising event at Liberty Hall. The $1,000 cash award given to two outstanding teachers, one elementary and one secondary, nominated by a student, parent or teaching colleague.
This year the Lawrence Schools Foundation presented the $1,000 awards to Lois Orth-Lopes, Cordley music teacher and Betty Norwood, South Jounior High language arts and social studies teacher.
