The Sarah Elbayoumy Scholarship was established by friends and family, in memory of Sarah Elbayoumy, a Lawrence Free State High School student who died in a car crash this past year.
Will be awarded in the amount of $1,000 on an ongoing, annual basis to a graduating senior from any of the three high schools in the Lawrence Public Schools.
- student must have a minimum grade point average of 3.5
- student is involved in community activities
- preference will be given to students/applicants who are Muslim
- student demonstrates financial need
- student is planning to attend any 4-year college/university
