South Junior High Teacher and Staff Appreciation Fund
Contact: Susan Esau, Executive Director,
Lawrence Schools Foundation, 832-5000 x1941 or sesau@usd497.org
An anonymous gift was recently made by a Lawrence family to honor the outstanding teachers at South Junior High School. A new $1000 fund will be established at the Lawrence Schools Foundation and will be used to purchase classroom materials for the school, to assist educators at South with special workshop fees, and in other ways to show the South staff that they are loved and appreciated!
Anyone can contribute to this new fund, particularly families with students at South Junior High, to provide ongoing financial and moral support to the many teachers and staff who educate and positively influence nearly 600 students daily. If you would like to contribute to this fund, you may send cash or check to the Lawrence Schools Foundation, 110 McDonald Drive, Lawrence, Kansas 66044, and reference the “SJH Teacher and Staff Appreciation Fund.”
The Lawrence Schools Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that is committed to enhancing the education provided to all students by the Lawrence Public Schools. Through the generation and management of gifts, the Foundation seeks to promote and enhance innovative teaching and learning opportunities, the recognition of teachers and staff, the recognition and encouragement of student achievements, and effective early childhood programs.
